We are going to do a point-to-point paddle on the Styx River from the Hwy 87 bridge to the Perdido River (Florida state line) about 1 mile past the Hwy 90 bridge (about 10-11 mi.) The Styx is fairly swift moving and the paddling should take about 2.5-3 hrs. We will meet at 9:30 AM at the BP at I-10 exit 53 and go north 1 mi. to right on Linholm Rd (dirt) for 4 mi. to right on Hwy 87 for 2 mi. to the put-in on right before you get to the bridge. The take-out shuttle point is a 14.3 mi. drive one-way (16 minutes), 5.3 mi. down Hwy 87 to left on Hwy 90, go 7 mi. to Seminole, turn right on Hwy 91, go 0.9 mi. to left on Lost River Road, go 0.9 mi. to left on River Landing Road to the Baldwin Co. Park boat launch. There are no launch or parking fees for this trip. Bring lunch, fluids, etc. Call or email if you have any further questions.
