*****FLASH PADDLE*****BEAR CREEK AND OVERNIGHT AT CANAL ISLAND PLATFORM

Date: Saturday, March 4, 2006 to Sunday, March 5, 2006
Time: 9:30 AM at StageCoach Cafe in Stockton, AL
Place: Hubbard's Landing - there is a launch fee ($3-$5)

Comments: Space on the floating platform is limited, so call Brint to reserve a space if you plan to camp overnight. Anyone is welcome to day paddle on Saturday and return to Hubbard's Landing that afternoon. We will head north up Tensaw Lake and explore up to the end of Farris Creek. Then we will paddle up Big Beaver Creek and Bear Creek, before returning to Canal Island for the night. We will paddle roughly 12-15 miles on Saturday. On Sunday, we will return to Hubbard's Landing.
For overnighters, plan on Saturday lunch and dinner, and Sunday breakfast.
